I retested the issues on the archived ngit repo:
#6 install.sh now skips rbenv shims, places binaries in ~/.local/bin. Verified persistent after rbenv rehash.
#7 Ran into a similar state. A little more detail on retest with: git clone --mirror https://codeberg.org/xplbzx/ngit-upstream-issues/src/branch/main/UPDATE.md
